This historical novel of the Sixties follows a group of young people as they search for identity, love, honor and redemption during the decade or so between the assassination of President John F. Kennedy and the resignation of Richard Nixon. Their journeys take them from Chicago to LA and San Francisco, New York and Paris, Saigon, Taos and Santa Fe. Luke Bernstein is obsessed with Emma Martinette who is an exotic dancer using the name Lolly Gabor. Their on-again off-again relationship takes them to New York and to California at the time of the Summer of Love. Emma's brother, Bernard, pursues poor little rich girl Joyce Townsend in the communes of New Mexico and the cafés of Paris. Charlie Morgan returns from Vietnam with an Asian wife to find his homeland in turmoil.
