The Scrapple Eater


A young man walks cemeteries, photographing tombstones and posting data on a website as an aid for genealogists. He meets a girl. He starts to see ghosts. A contemporary tour of Pennsylvania's small towns and local ghosts.Our main character, a young man named Jefferson, seems to be obsessed with graveyards, and with eating scrapple. He has some troubling dreams. He thinks he may have a ghost. Could it be that this strange concoction of uncommon animal parts gives rise to visions and dreams? Or, as Harry Houdini once asked, do the dead return? Where do we go when we die? If we go somewhere, can we come back? Many of the ghostly manifestations alluded to in the story are based on local legends. Seems ghosts like Western Pennsylvania
